Grudge Match:
Martin Kirby vs. Fox Carter
What better way to start a nights search for justice with a good old grudge match?! This rivalry had been brewing quietly for a some time and as the bell rung, the action was fast paced and competitive as both men worked hard in establishing themselves in a contest that went back and forth throughout.
With the crowd solidly behind Kirby, it only served to anger the vicious Fox Carter who with venom struck out with a range of impressive strikes and kicks. Both of which have become the former personal trainer to Juice's most dangerous asset.
However, he was eventually caught out when Kirby hit his signature hand spring elbow and the tide was turned. It was now Kirby's time to stamp his authority on the match, much to the applause of the GPW faithful. Cheers turned to despair when it looked like Fox had got the win as he caught Kirby in his innovative Tap Or Die (T.O.D), but Kirby hung on refused to tap.
Re-Match:
William Gáylord vs. Danny Hope
In a re-match from "Back With A Bang 2010" it was Gáylord who was out for justice next as Danny Hope looked to make it 2 wins in 2 over the King's Hill resident.
Same match, same chant. Gáylord was greeted in the usual manner by the fans as he sauntered arrogantly to the ring. "Gaaaaaaaaaylord! Gaaaaaaaaaaylord" he did his best to remain composed, he walked to the ring with a plan in mind that would ensure Danny wouldn't get lucky again... it was deja vu for Gáylord in the early goings however as Danny had him reeling.
Danny connected with his Catwalk Kick, (enough normally to finish any man off for the 3 count) but the kick had so much force behind it, it knocked Gáylord through the middle rope and out onto the Ballroom floor.
"You Better Run..."
Next, ring announcer Sam Shaw drew every ones attention to the screens to see footage we'd been sent earlier that day regarding an individuals pending arrival. Kodiak announces that he is soon to return to GPW!
Six Man Tag:
El Ligero & The Mystics vs. Darkside & Paradise Lost
The momentum behind the Mystics express rolled into the Ballroom next as they brought along El Ligero for the ride. It didn't take long for Voodoo & Suzuki to be up to their old tricks and doing what they've done for the last 4 months - embarrassing and getting the better of tag team champs Paradise Lost! Heresy was the first to fall victim, followed by LeVay. Ligero must've been spending some time with Voodoo & Suzuki this past month picking up on a couple of tricks himself, pulling out a shiny medal to distract LeVay before dispatching of the unpredictable monster over the top rope and to the Ballroom floor.
The crowd held their breath as Ligero then scaled the top rope and took to the air landing a cross body from the inside out on both LeVay and Heresy. However, the fun and games were over when Darkside got in the ring.
Isolating Voodoo from his team, Darkside, LeVay and Heresy took turns in picking him apart with quick, efficient tagging. They didn't have their own way for long though. LeVay missed a spear which lead to Voodoo getting the much needed tag for his team.
Suzuki and Ligero entered the fray with a head of steam by and sent Heresy reeling going straight after his surgically repaired face. The growing intense rivalry between El Ligero and Darkside escalated throughout the match as both countered each others moves.
Suzuki caught an already dazed Heresy in 60 Seconds From The Stars sending the tag team champ into a stumbling mess. Whilst stumbling around the ring, unable to gain his footing The Mystics took advantage in a way only they knew how.
In Ring Debut:
Bruce Sheila vs. Croc-A-Roc-A-Mous
New GPW arrival, Bruce Sheila had promised at "Back With A Bang" that at "Out For Justice" he'd take on what he called the "biggest, meanest, strongest competitor to ever step foot in a wrestling ring...". Vowing to show the wrestling world just how tough Australian men really are, anticipation built as who his opponent might be.
The curtain eventually opened and the crowd laid eyes on.... - an inflatable crocodile called Croc-a-Roc-a-Mous. Bruce treated the opponent as if it were Verne Gagne, stalking his prey whilst giving the crowd a quick lesson in crocodile facts.
Eventually he pounced on Croc-a-Roc and used tape to seal up his jaws. He then took liberties on the harmless inflatable reptile nailing it with the "Ayres Rock Bottom", the "Out-Back Breaker" and a number of other high impact moves.
As the uncomfortable beating looked to be drawing an end, on the ramp appeared Thor Laarson, Kristov Eganski, and Vladimir Radkov, 3/4's of The Eastern Bloc. All 3 men stood proudly eating pies and taking in the huge crowd adulation.
It caused just enough time for their 4th and final member - Jak Domitrescu to sneak through the crowd, jump the barrier and ready himself on the apron for Bruce to turn round. When Bruce did... Jak was waiting with a pie of his own. Into the Aussie's face it went, blinding Bruce with meat and potatoes long enough for Croc-a-Roc-a-Mous to fall on top of the man from Queensland.
Tag Team Grudge Match:
The MasterPlan vs. Valour & Roberts
Something, somewhere in this match went wrong. It was supposed to answer questions and solve the issues between the two teams. Instead, it has posed new questions and created a world of new problems... You'd be forgiven in thinking this was any normal match when the teams made their entrances.
As normal as any match could be between two tag teams with a severe dislike for one another. There was no hint of trouble when both Dylan and Si got the better of Kraze and Feelgood in the early going. They went to town on Feelgood, tossing the former Heavyweight champ from pillar to post.
However, the canny veteran and self proclaimed "world's smartest wrestler", Dirk Feelgood escaped the full wrath of Valour & Roberts managing to get a tag to his partner - Cameron Kraze. Cameron was able to take control of the match, and cut Dylan off from his partner Si Valour.
The quick tags and impressive movement from The MasterPlan prevented Dylan making any progress to his corner to tag Si in. Maybe it was here where things went wrong? The frustration of not being able to get in the ring to save his partner?
Whenever it went wrong, as much pain as Dylan was feeling at the hands of Dirk and Kraze was about to get ten times worse...
Eventually breaking free of The MasterPlan's quick tags, Dylan who'd been cheered on relentlessly by the crowd finally managed to get the tag to partner Si Valour. As Si entered the ring, The MasterPlan retreated on their back foot and cowered in fright from Si's well renowned punishing offence.
GPW Heavyweight Title Re-Match:
Juggernaut vs. "Dangerous" Damon Leigh
Justice was the theme for the evening and if anyone deserved it - it was DDL. Having had Heavyweight Champion, Juggernaut beaten during his title match last month DDL eventually lost the match.
He was given a second chance at "Out For Justice". Juggernaut made his entrance to the ring with his Attorney and Law, Alan A.A Tasker at his side. Ring announcer, Sam Shaw announced "Dangerous" Damon Leigh and as his music hit the Ballroom waited. And waited. And waited.
No DDL. He was announced a second time, his music played again and still, no DDL.
Under pressure from Attorney and Law Tasker, the ref had no choice but to start the 10 count. If DDL hadn't answered his count, he would forfeit the match. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.....
..... El Ligero's music played. What's this? Why is this? There was no DDL, but the man we'd seen in action earlier in the night made his way down the ramp to the ring motioning to his shoulder.
It was of course, Juggernaut who put El Ligero on the injured list for just short of 12 months on March 20th 2009, exactly a year and a day that night. It was clear Ligero was out for justice.
But, he didn't get it.
This intense and bubbling rivalry between El Ligero and Darkside escalated further when Darkside also appeared on the ramp behind Ligero with a steel chair in hand. He attacked Ligero with the chair and threw him backstage.
Juggernaut and Tasker celebrated once again, but it wasn't over yet.
Just when they thought they'd finished the night unscathed, Ricky J. McKenzie's music hit and the man who'd won the right to challenge anyone, anywhere, at any time a month earlier had come to cash in his match and challenge Juggernaut to a one on one match for the Heavyweight Title, right here, right now. The match was on. And what a match it was.
RJM started the match off with what brought him to the dance in the first place - his ability to fly. Diving over the top rope and onto both Tasker and Juggernaut on the outside. RJM had everyone in the Ballroom's attention. But it wasn't long before Juggernaut was able to take control and in a sequence that echo'd what he'd done to DDL the month earlier he slammed McKenzie down hard on the Ballroom floor and made that same sickening sound that had made people squirm in their seats the month earlier as seats.
Next up was a chop that sounded more like lightening cracking. Skin on skin there wasn't a person in the building with a dry eye or without a "ewww" on their lips.
Juggernaut was now in the driving seat. The crowd were behind RJM more so then than ever before. It must've been the energy from the crowd that allowed him to find the strength to clock the champ with an unforgiving 1,000 Hand Slap that rocked the monster.
Going close on several occasions with 2 counts, there was now a feeling in the building that RJM might just do this...
GPW British Title Match:
"The Juice" CJ Banks © vs. Joey Hayes
When the names Joey Hayes & CJ Banks are pitted against one another - you're never going to be disappointed. Add to that the fact they are fighting over the prestigious British Title and you've got an absolute classic on your hands.
Much had been made prior to the bell sounding of both these men's careers mirroring one another. So, it's a natural desire for one to want to outdo the other to prove they are better in order to put to rest any comparisons.
With that in mind, the tone was set for the match as the crowd were treated to a wrestling masterclass. The two traded holds in a textbook wrestling match that built and built, ending in a shocking climax. The crowd firmly in the corner of Joey Hayes throughout applauded his efforts in one of the best wrestling clinics you'll see anywhere in Europe.
Back and forth the action went, as the pace began to quicken Joey excited the crowd by hitting Juice with a spinning flat liner. Not to be out-done, Juice hit his signature rolling Germans and was able to counter Joey's attempt at a Teenage Kick into a Texas Clover Leaf, but Joey dug deep and hung in. The match wasn't over yet.
Juice scaled the top rope but The Ballroom rallied behind challenger Joey Hayes to get back to his feet. He responded by leaping with the agility of a cat to the top rope to meet Juice as the two fought it out above the canvas below.
Tussling for position, Joey nearly lost his footing at one point but regained his composure to hook Juice up for a superplex. The two crashed to the canvass at exactly the same time, landing with such impact that their legs entwined with one another and the ref counted ...
